Website copy audit tool

Find what’s wrong with your website copy.

Revisi reads the live page, marks the sentences that are unclear, generic, off-brand or difficult to trust, and ranks the edits so you know where to start.

Start with one page. Revisi will not change anything on your website.

Free one-page diagnostic. Suggested rewrites are available in the app.

Actual auditrevisi.ai
75/100Page score
Revisi flags “Explore this feature” as a generic CTA. The CTA does not identify which feature the reader will see or what they will get by selecting it. This makes the action less informative than the surrounding product explanation.

01 / A useful audit

“The copy needs work” is not a diagnosis.

A vague feeling about the copy does not tell you what to change. Is the positioning too abstract? Is the value proposition buried? Does the claim need proof? Is the CTA weak, or does the whole page sound like it was assembled from familiar phrases?

Revisi turns that uncertainty into line-level findings. You see the exact sentence that triggered the issue, why it weakens the page and what kind of edit would improve it.

02 / One finding

See the line. See the problem.

The original sentence stays visible. The explanation gives you a reason to edit.

Illustrative example. The report above is a real audit of Revisi.

Generic claimBrand Fit
Finding

The sentence is polished but commercially empty. It does not identify the service, the audience or the outcome, and a competitor could publish it unchanged.

Rewrite direction

Replace the category language with the work you do, who it is for and what changes as a result.

Illustrative example. Rewrite suggestions are available in the app.

03 / What it checks

More than whether the grammar is correct.

Seven common copy problems, reviewed through five public signals: Brand Fit, Audience Fit, Clarity, Human Voice and Credibility.

Unclear positioning

Can a new visitor quickly understand what the company does and who it is for?

Buried value

Does the page explain why the offer matters, or make the reader assemble the value themselves?

Generic claims

Could another company publish the same sentence without changing a word?

Weak proof

Does the page give the reader a reason to believe its claims?

Voice drift

Does the copy still sound like the intended brand, or like several writers and tools have gradually pulled it apart?

AI-sounding language

Does the page rely on formulaic phrases, inflated adjectives or polished filler?

Soft CTAs

Is the next step clear, relevant and proportionate to what the reader knows?

04 / How it works

From live page to ranked edit list.

Scan the page
Paste a public URL. Revisi reads the meaningful visible copy and checks the words in context.
Establish the standard
In the app, add a brand voice guide or describe how the brand should sound. Without one, Revisi can begin with an inferred voice, clearly labelled as unconfirmed.
Review the evidence
See the page score, the dimensions that need attention and the exact sentences behind each finding.
Revise and rescan
Make the changes you agree with in your own editor, then scan the live page again to see what improved and what still needs work.

05 / The output

A copy audit you can act on.

Start with the verdict. Follow the finding back to the words. Make the next edit with a reason behind it.

A page-level verdict
Understand the overall condition of the page without mistaking one number for the whole answer.
Line-level findings
See the exact wording that caused each issue instead of searching through the page yourself.
Clear reasoning
Understand whether the problem is clarity, audience fit, voice, trust, specificity or distinctiveness.
Prioritised edits
Start with the changes that matter most rather than rewriting every sentence.
Practical rewrite direction
In the app, review suggested wording alongside the finding. You keep the final judgement; the free diagnostic provides scores and explanations.

Audit first

A grammar checker asks whether the sentence is correct. Revisi asks whether it belongs.

A sentence can be perfectly grammatical and still fail its job. It can be vague, unconvincing, wrong for the audience or indistinguishable from the competition.

Revisi reviews the copy already published on your website. It diagnoses before it rewrites, and the final decision stays with you.

Before you audit

What to expect from your first page review.

What does a website copy audit tool do?

A website copy audit tool reviews the written content already published on a site. Revisi checks whether the copy is clear, specific, credible, appropriate for its audience and consistent with the intended brand voice.

Do I need a brand voice guide?

No. Revisi can begin with a provisional profile based on the available page copy, labelled “inferred voice, not confirmed”. In the app, adding your own voice guidance or a Markdown brand guide gives the audit a more reliable standard.

Can Revisi audit an entire website?

The free audit reviews one public page. A Revisi workspace lets you scan and review multiple pages across a website, within your account’s page allowance.

Does Revisi rewrite the page?

In the app, Revisi provides practical rewrite direction and suggested replacements for flagged lines. The free diagnostic provides scores and findings without suggested rewrites. Revisi does not automatically replace or publish the copy.

Is Revisi an AI-content detector?

No. Revisi does not claim to determine whether a person or a model wrote the copy. It identifies patterns that make the writing feel generic, synthetic or unlike the intended brand.

Will Revisi make changes to my website?

No. It reads the public page and produces a report. Nothing is changed or published.

Audit the page you keep second-guessing.

Paste the URL and see which sentences need attention, what caused each finding and where to start revising.
